Professional Experience

​

Ms. LaVoie is a managing shareholder and director of LaVoie & Kaizer, P.A. Ms. LaVoie graduated with honors from the University of Florida Warrington College of Business, and she received her BSBA in 1998. She later attended Florida State University College of Law during which time she clerked for the Honorable Amy Steele Donner of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida/Civil Division in Miami-Dade County. She graduated with her Juris Doctorate degree in 2002 at which time she was awarded a Distinguished Pro Bono Service Award for volunteer service provided to the Legal Services of Greater Miami.

 

Ms. LaVoie has been a member of the Florida Bar in good standing since 2002 and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. She has 13 years’ experience representing and negotiating settlements on behalf insurance carriers, governmental entities, and Fortune 500 companies in personal injury cases involving automobile liability, premises liability, PIP, and worker’s compensation.

 

Today, Ms. LaVoie is committed to using the skills and knowledge that she gained throughout her career to fight on behalf of the injured and to vigorously defend those charged with traffic violations.  

 

Ms. LaVoie is also very active in the Tampa Bay community and has been Co-Chair of the Hillsborough County Bar Association's Community Services Committee since 2013.
